“It makes me sad when people don’t have enough to eat.”

This is Ray, 11, holding up his Thanksgiving Meal Vouchers.

Around last Thanksgiving, 11-year-old Ray noticed a lot of tents around the city housing asylum-seeking arrivals from the southern U.S. border.

Ray asked his parents questions about where the people would live and how they would eat, especially once the temperatures dropped. With the needs so evident, the family decided to launch a virtual food drive that raised over $1,000—enough to share over 3,000 meals.

The Food Depository is grateful for Ray. He’s committed to changing the world, starting by creating a hunger-free community.

HOST A VIRTUAL FOOD DRIVE

A virtual food drive is a simple and fun way to support the Food Depository and help families facing hunger.
