Lunch Buses feed hungry kids during the summer

WGN's Erin Ivory visits the Lunch Bus. While school is out for the summer, the Lunch Bus delivers nutritious meals for children at 24 sites across Chicago and the suburbs every weekday. Summer can be a challenging time for children struggling with food insecurity. Without access to free and reduced-price school meals, many children face uncertainty about their next meal. "[The Lunch Bus] distributes about 1,000 meals every single day to hungry kids in our community," says Paul Morello, Senior Manager of Public Relations for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
