When you come to the Sheridan Market, you’ll receive safely packed, pre-packaged groceries, making sure you get what you need and want. Our offerings include: Healthy dairy products, including milk and cheese; A wide variety of meats; High-quality fresh vegetables from our partners; Personal hygiene products; and flowers at the end of every visit. We can’t wait for you to visit us! We understand that coming to a food pantry for the first time can sometimes be a difficult or confusing experience, but at Nourishing Hope, we do our best to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

The option of food choice has returned to Sheridan Market. (Our pre-packaged “Express” distribution will continue to be available if desired.) This process might take a little longer, but we are excited to welcome you inside if you choose. An additional produce distribution will continue to be pre-packaged. We believe you deserve to eat well and eat what you want. Come visit us and find the food you need.

Monthly food pick-ups:

Each family can expect 50-100lbs of food once a month. The food we distribute changes every day, but you will always find a selection of frozen meat, fresh produce, dairy, eggs, milk, bread, canned goods and dry goods. Amount of food received is based on family size and needs.

Additional produce pick-ups:

Come back every month for fresh bread and produce. Plus, you leave every visit with fresh flowers to brighten up your week.

Eligibility:

We serve our neighbors throughout Chicago whose incomes are below certain guidelines. We do NOT require proof of income but you will sign an official form that states you meet the guidelines.
