Use Your SNAP Benefits to Buy Groceries Online

SNAP participants can purchase groceries online for delivery or pick-up.

This program is currently available through select retailers across Illinois (last updated July 2022). New grocers are joining on a rolling basis. View the most updated list of participating grocers.

Useful Tips for Using SNAP Benefits to Shop Online

• SNAP benefits may only be used to purchase food items.
• SNAP benefits cannot be used to pay for delivery fees, driver tips or bag fees. Meet minimum order amounts to qualify for free shipping or pay for shipping using another form of payment.
• If you already have an account with one of the stores, be sure to update the form of payment to your Link EBT card.

ALDI

Aldi offers curbside pick-up and partners with Instacart for delivery. If you are not already an Aldi customer, you will be required to create an account.

Membership: Instacart offers express membership for $99 per year. It provides free delivery for orders over $35 and reduced service fees. You do not need to be a member to order, but you will pay delivery fees.

AMAZON

Amazon delivers groceries to your home. Depending on what food you need and whether you want to purchase bulk quantity, Amazon offers three options.

Membership: You do not need to be a member of Amazon Prime to participate or benefit from free shipping.

CAPRI IGA

Capri IGA allows you to place online grocery orders and pick-up in store. Delivery is not currently available.

Membership: Membership is not required with Capri IGA for online orders. You will be required to create an account with Capri IGA to be eligible to place an online order. There is no fee associated with creating an account. Delivery is not available. Pick-up is available at both Capri IGA locations.

COUNTY MARKET

County Market allows you to order groceries online for delivery through a partnership with Instacart. If you are not already an Instacart member, you will need to create an account. Curbside pick-up is not currently available.

Membership: Instacart offers Express Membership for $99 per year or $9.99 per month. It provides free delivery for orders over $35 and reduced service fees. You do not need to be a member to order, but you will pay delivery fees.

Membership: Membership is not required to order online with Dave's Supermarkets. You will be required to create an account with Dave's Supermarkets to be eligible to place an online order. There is no fee associated with creating an account.

FAIRPLAY NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET

Fairplay Neighborhood Markets allows online grocery orders for delivery or pick-up. There are three methods to shop for groceries online: Fairplay Neighborhood Markets website, Fairplay Neighborhood Markets mobile app, and Instacart.

Membership: Membership is not required to order online with Fairplay Neighborhood Markets. You will be required to create an account with Fairplay Neighborhood Markets to be eligible to place an online order. There is no fee associated with creating an account. If ordering through Instacart, an Instacart account will need to be created.

Jewel Osco allows you to order groceries online for pick-up through the Jewel Osco website. Delivery is not yet available when placing online orders.

Membership: Membership is not required to purchase groceries online through Jewel Osco. You will be required to create a username and password in order to place orders online. Delivery is not yet available for SNAP/EBT purchases.

LOCAL MARKET

SAM'S CLUB

Sam's Club currently accepts SNAP at all club locations. You can utilize Sam’s Club Scan and Go while in stores for a streamlined shopping experience or you can place an order online for curbside pick-up.

Membership: Club Membership is $45 per year or Plus Membership is $100 per year. You must be a member to use SNAP at Sam’s Club. Delivery is not available for purchases made with SNAP; you must shop at a physical Sam’s Club store or place an online order for curbside pick-up to utilize SNAP benefits.

Walmart allows you to order groceries online and pick-up at the store. Some stores also offer delivery.

Membership: Walmart+ is $98 per year and offers free delivery for orders over $35. You do not need to be a member to order, but you will pay delivery fees.
