Why Marc serves on the Board

Chicago is one of the world’s greatest cities and as a long time resident who has benefited from living here, I wanted to help lift up those less fortunate on a particularly important topic which is ensuring one of the basics of life – food – is available to all.

What does this work, and mission mean to you?

It is unacceptable to me that anyone in a country, and a city as wealthy as ours should go hungry. I’ve led many top food companies and advised many more, so I know what great looks like. Learning about the sophistication and professionalism with which the Greater Chicago Food Depository goes about its mission of ending hunger in Cook County was inspiring to me, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success.
