Jennifer Biehler

Chief Philanthropy Officer

Jennifer Biehler joined the Greater Chicago Food Depository as chief philanthropy officer in August 2025. She brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in fundraising, campaign strategy, and donor engagement across several mission-driven sectors including: chronic disease, pediatric healthcare, injury prevention, education, and domestic violence. 

Prior to joining the Food Depository, Jennifer served as vice president of Leadership Giving at Breakthrough T1D, where she built high-performing teams, secured transformational gifts, and partnered with senior leaders to engage and steward major philanthropists. Earlier in her career, she held roles at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, advancing campaign strategy and strengthening donor and board relationships. 

In her role at the Food Depository, Jennifer oversees all aspects of fundraising strategy and donor relations. 

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys yoga, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  

Education & Community Involvement
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. She serves on the board of Sarah’s Inn, the Fund Development Committee of Carmel Catholic High School, and as a mentor with Greenhouse.
