Diane Whitmore Schanzenbach

Diane Whitmore Schanzenbach is the Director of the Institute for Policy Research and Margaret Walker Alexander Professor in the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. She is an economist who studies anti-poverty policies, especially the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and other policies that reduce food insecurity. Her research is regularly cited in top media outlets, and she has testified before both the Senate and House of Representatives on her research.
