Vice President of Policy and Advocacy
Danielle Perry joined the Greater Chicago Food Depositor as the Vice President of Policy and Advocacy in March 2025. She brings more than 15 years of experience as a nonprofit and foundation executive and government relations expert. Before joining the Food Depository’s leadership team, Danielle served as the Head of Foundation and Federal Initiatives at Capital One Bank.
In addition to Capital One, Danielle was appointed to serve in the Obama and Pritzker administrations leading equity centered work in agriculture. Danielle served as the Executive Director for Growing Home, Inc., an Englewood-based workforce development nonprofit that runs Chicago’s first and only USDA certified organic farm. Danielle also served as a Congressional Aide for Senator Chris Van Hollen. Danielle has served on numerous community boards including the Illinois USDA Extension, Englewood Chamber of Commerce and the Howard University Board of Trustees. She is also an adjunct professor at DePaul University and American University.
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys traveling, live music and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Olympia Fields with her wife and son.
