“I’m just so happy.”
Marcos had to leave his full-time job because he’s high-risk for COVID-19, and his position put him in danger. The only safe job he could land was part-time.
His wife started working to close the family budget gap, but it wasn’t enough to help provide nutritious food for their three children, ages 6, 9, and 10. Food can be expensive for a family of five, especially fresh fruits and vegetables.
But Marcos is grateful to be able to receive help from his local food pantry, and most of what he brings home keeps his children healthy.
“They take care of me and my kids,” Marcos says. “I’m just so happy.”
