To save good food from being wasted, the Food Depository connects food retailers with nearby food pantries and programs in our network. Our food safety and sanitation-trained food access partners will pick up product and use it to support community grocery and meal distributions.

Our partners can accept:

  • Dairy
  • Deli/prepared items
  • Frozen items (including meat/seafood that has been frozen on our before the “best by” date)
  • Produce
  • Refrigerated items
  • Non-food items (we do not accept donations of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, and/or cannabis/CBD/THC products)
  • Shelf-stable/dry/ambient grocery items
  • Damaged items that are still food safe (i.e. the internal packaging has not been compromised)

We only accept items that have a label with ingredient and allergen information.
