Diaper Program Ending after June 30, 2025

The Greater Chicago Food Depository and Share Our Spare have worked together to provide diapers to partner organizations across Cook County since 2021. The Food Depository has made the difficult decision to end the diaper program after June 30, 2025, to prioritize funding for food programming, especially as food insecurity and the cost of food remain elevated.

You may not see diapers in the same capacity at a Food Depository partner after June 30. We understand that this may be challenging and want to provide you with some additional diaper resources:

1. Share Our Spare is a community resource of essentials, education and advocacy for families in need and the agencies that serve them.
   • They do not directly distribute diapers to the community, but a list of their community partners who receive diapers can be found HERE.
2. Apply for supplemental nutrition programs like WIC or SNAP.
   • WIC and SNAP do not cover diapers but may help offset costs for other items your family needs.
