In a city renowned for its soaring architecture, premier commercial real estate firms gather annually to celebrate achievements — and to end hunger. The 39th Annual Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards ceremony brings together Chicago’s top architects, brokers, developers, property managers, contractors, and design professionals to lift up the Food Depository and our mission, celebrate achievements in the industry, and enjoy an evening of food, drinks, and networking. Last year’s event raised almost $1.1M.

This year, the Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards will be hosted at The Old Post Office on Thursday, May 6, 2027. The event will feature networking, a cocktail reception, an award ceremony, and more.

Voting

Ticket packages come with one vote per category, cast by a single representative. The value of the vote is based on the package tier.
Finalist voting period: March 12, 2027 to March 22, 2027.
To be eligible to vote, your registration and payment must be completed by Monday, March 22, 2027.

Lunchbox Challenge

The Lunchbox Challenge raises funds to provide meals to thousands of our neighbors facing hunger. It’s a fun way to get your entire company involved in a great cause and a friendly industry competition. After you register for the Commercial Real Estate Awards, you can engage your entire organization in the Food Depository’s mission to end hunger.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Commercial Real Estate Awards

When you buy your ticket package, you will be able to indicate your designated voting representative. That person will receive the voting link when voting opens on March 12, 2027.

Yes, sponsors will identify their voting representative at the time of purchase and vote in the same way as ticket package holders.

Payment for your ticket package must be finalized for you to receive your voting link. If we don’t receive payment by March 22, 2027, the voting window will close and you will lose your opportunity to vote.

Voting results will be announced at the event and posted on the event website the following day.

The Blue Ribbon Panel (BRP) is a committee comprised of past award winners, select sponsors, members of Chicago-area real estate associations and real estate professionals. The BRP selects awards finalists from all submitted nominations using a thorough review and voting process.

Using their industry knowledge and expertise, the BRP reviews the award submissions to determine which entries merit finalist status. The Panel then votes via secret ballot to select finalists for each award category.

The Steering Committee is comprised of real estate professionals who volunteer their time to support planning and ticket sales for the Commercial Real Estate Awards. For information on how to get involved, please email [email protected].
