As part of its "Share the Joy" series, ABC7 visits the New Life Covenant Southeast food pantry in Greater Grand Crossing. This South Side pantry, one of the Greater Chicago Food Depository's partner agencies, is known as the "hugging pantry" because of the embrace every guest receives as they reach the distribution line. "It takes the stigma away from the fact you are here to receive food," said pantry visitor Tracy Mclemore.
