Hackathon to End Hunger

On September 24, 2016, hackers from across Chicagoland met to analyze where children eat, what they eat and how they access meals whether in school or out of school. Ten hackathon teams competed to see who could develop the best software and tech-based solutions. The winning team developed a plan for a prototype mobile app that uses games and rewards to guide teens to summer meal sites in their neighborhoods, a critical access point for food.
