Joe Rodriguez

Vice President of Transportation, Warehousing & Facilities Management

Joe Rodriguez joined the Food Depository in 2010 as a CDL Truck Driver. In July of 2022, he was promoted to Vice President of Transportation, Warehousing and Facilities Management after holding many different positions throughout his time at the Food Depository. Joe has over twenty years of warehouse and transportation experience, including ten years at Office Depot and Staples in their distribution centers.

In his current role, he oversees our operations involving shipping, receiving, transportation, volunteer repacks and facilities. He was critical to the distribution expansion of many programs, including Healthy Student Markets, Produce Mobile distributions and the Foodshare program in partnership with Starbucks. In 2017, Joe was honored by Feeding America as “Central Region Operations Leader of the Year” for his work with Starbucks and his team to develop a plan to rescue food nightly from over 200 Starbucks locations. He also led the effort in the Food Depository’s transition to an all-delivery model for our food pantry and program partners.

Outside of work, Joe loves spending time with his wife and three children. He loves sports and is a huge White Sox fan. He also enjoys coaching on his children’s basketball, baseball and football teams. Joe and his family reside in Westchester.
