Welcome to the St Teresa of Avila Hunger Walk team page. We are very glad you are here and we look forward to a fun morning on Saturday June 21st!
Our Team name is St Teresa of Avila Food Pantry and our Agency Number is A01459.
If you haven’t already done so, please take a minute to register for the walk at
You can choose the number of people that you want to register and can register up to ten people at a time.
After you click ‘Register’, you will be prompted to complete registration information for each attendee.
In order for St Teresa’s to get credit for your walk, you must indicate that you are walking on behalf of a Member agency, and select A01459 St Teresa of Avila Food Pantry from the drop down member agency list.
You will sent an email to the email account you provide when registering with a ticket as an attachment. Print this ticket and bring it with you to Soldier Field on June 21st.
If you are unable to register online, a paper registration is available in the Help and resources section of the main Hunger Walk website chicagosfoodbank.org/hungerwalk. Print and complete all sections of this form and bring it with you to registration at Soldier Field on June 21st. Please let us know if you would like a paper registration form.
The walk starts at 8:30am. Our team will meet at Soldier Field Gate 6 at 8am. We will have a sign that says St Teresa of Avila Food Pantry. The Registration tables are at Gate 1, and you will have to pass the registration table to get to Gate 6.
SOLICITING DONATIONS FOR YOUR WALK
We encourage you to solicit donations for our pantry from friends and family. Now that you have joined our team, you automatically have a personal home page and access to some helpful templates and suggested letters to look for sponsorship. Your donors can donate to the Food Depository on your behalf or on the team’s behalf on-line at http://www.chicagosfoodbank.org/goto/StTeresaofAvila
GETTING TO THE WALK
Public Transit: CTA Red, Orange and Green Line to Roosevelt stop. Walk west and take the Roosevelt and State Bus 146 to Soldier Field/Field Museum stop. Walk south to Stadium Green, Soldier Field.
Free: South Lot (18th Drive exit off of Lake Shore Drive). First come first served. Once the lot is full, you will be directed to the North Garage where a parking fee is required.
Free: Waldon Deck (18th Drive exit off of Lake Shore Drive). First come first served. Once the lot is full, you will be directed to the North Garage where a parking fee is required.
North Garage parking fee is $19 for the first 4 hours and $22 for 4 to 12 hours
Please note that The South lot has the closest proximity to Gate 0/registration and St Teresa meeting place (Gate 6). If you end up in a different lot, please follow the signs for Registration.
Bus: The Greater Chicago Food Depository has given us a bus to bring us to Soldier Field. It will leave the St Teresa Parking lot at 7am, and will pick us up at Soldier Field at 10:45am. Seats are available on a first come first served basis. Please let us know if you would like a seat on the bus seat.
