Thank you for coming to check out the Irving Park Community Food Pantry's Hunger Walk Page. We are asking for contributions for the Walk on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Soldier Field in Chicago.
The funds we raise will help support our programs throughout the year, which focus on providing a three-day supply of food to those in the 60641 and western half of the 60618 ZIP codes who are in need of help.
The Pantry also provides a variety of other services, including online qualification for SNAP benefits, nutrition classes, resources to help with other concerns, and a variety of seasonal programs to help clients throughout the year.
We are a part of the Greater Chicago Food Depository's network of 650 food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters throughout Cook County.
Please donate directly to our page or to one of our volunteer walkers so the funds go directly to our account, from which we buy food from the Depository at about 7 cents per pound. Your contributions go a long way toward feeding the hungry in the Irving Park and West Walker neighborhoods of Chicago!
Please give any amount you can. We and the neighborhood's hungry families truly appreciate your support.
