Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for visiting my personal page for the 29th Annual Greater Chicago Food Depository Hunger Walk! Do know that the funds I raise will DIRECTLY support the the Irving Park Food Pantry, where I volunteer every Wednesday, and every 2nd Tuesday of the month, along with about 90 other volunteers!
I encourage you to make a donation to Agency A00113 (Irving Park Food Pantry) through me, or any of my team members, either online or by sending a check made out to Hunger Walk (important: make sure our agency number is written in the memo). Better yet, if you can walk with us (or just show up) on June 21st, join our team! Our pantry will earn $12 for every walker who shows up!
The Hunger Walk is a 5K event to raise funds and awareness for the Food Depository's work in Cook County. The funds raised for the Hunger Walk as a whole, covers the event's overhead expenses, and is then divided amongst the 650 food pantries (including ours), soup kitchens and shelters, to help supplement their budgets or, in some cases, serve as their entire annual budget. This is the largest anti-hunger event in Chicago. This is also Irving Park Food Pantry's largest fundraiser of the year and typically covers the majority of our annual budget!
I hope I can count on your support. Thank you for visiting my page, and I truly appreciate anything you can give. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email me anytime at email@example.com.
Thank you and take care,
