Chicago is home to some of the best restaurants in the world! Lunch in this town can be a bona fide gastronomic treat. Whether you dine at one of Chicago’s famous chop houses, a unique neighborhood eatery, your favorite pizza place, sandwich shop or food truck quality, nutritious and satisfying food options abound…but not for everyone.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository currently serves 1 in 6 Cook County residents who struggle with hunger. In a town where it is easy to spend $20 or more on lunch, hundreds of thousands of men, women and children live without that luxury.
