Nourish for Knowledge at Whistler School

Whistler School students in West Pullman receive free take-home bags of food through Nourish for Knowledge, a partnership between the Food Depository and Chicago Public Schools. Students at 23 schools receive food each week.

The 23rd Annual Hunger Walk drew thousands of donors, volunteers and supporters to Montrose Harbor in June 2008.

15th Annual Bag Hunger Auction

Created 15 years ago to bring together Chicago's culinary industry to help fight hunger in our community, the annual Bag Hunger Auction celebrates the city's hospitality and culinary diversity while raising money to feed the more than 500,000 men, women and children in Cook County who turn to the Food Depository for food each year.

2008 Volunteer Banquet

The Food Depository recently held its annual 2008 Volunteer Banquet to recognize and thank all the people who have donated their time to helping the organization work toward meeting its goal of providing food for hungy people.
