Whistler School students in West Pullman receive free take-home bags of food through Nourish for Knowledge, a partnership between the Food Depository and Chicago Public Schools. Students at 23 schools receive food each week.

Created 15 years ago to bring together Chicago's culinary industry to help fight hunger in our community, the annual Bag Hunger Auction celebrates the city's hospitality and culinary diversity while raising money to feed the more than 500,000 men, women and children in Cook County who turn to the Food Depository for food each year.
