Food drives are a great way for businesses, organizations and groups of all sizes to make a difference in the fight against hunger. In 2011, food drives helped the Greater Chicago Food Depository collect more than 460,000 pounds of nonperishable food for people in need. This year, our goal is to collect the equivalent of 1 million meals worth of healthy, nonperishable food.
As more than 807,000 people in Cook County don't know when or where their next meal is coming from, food drives are more important than ever. You can make a difference by organizing a food drive with your office, school, place of worship or any type of club or organization.
There are currently no participating public drop off locations. Please stay tuned for updates.
In the meantime, if you do not qualify for a pick up or cannot drop off at the Food Depository
, please visit our Agency Locator

Virtual food drives
Don't have the space to host your own food drive? Host a virtual food drive.
The Food Depository will build your virtual food drive for you. All you'll have to do is send a link to friends, family or co-workers, so they can drag and drop their food donations online. | Learn more
