Clif Bar and Company products
June 6, 2016 - Clif Bar and Company is voluntarily recalling CLIF BAR® products due to a potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination of sunflower seeds used in CLIF BAR® Nuts & Seeds energy bars, CLIF BAR® Sierra Trail Mix energy bars, and CLIF® Mojo® Mountain Mix® trail mix bars. Clif Bar and Company is recalling the products after its ingredient supplier, SunOpta, was found to have distributed sunflower kernels that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (L.mono).
The Food Depository had 12 cases of this product that were placed in the Agency Mart on March 4, 2016 which are now no longer in its inventory. Please check your inventory for this product. For more information, including a list of affected products, click here.
General Mills flour products
June 3, 2016 - General Mills is voluntarily recalling flour products due to an outbreak of E. coli 0121 linked to Gold Medal Flour, Signature Kitchen Flour and Gold Medal Wondra Flour. Nine separate product SKUs have been identified as the potential source. Millions of pounds of flour have been implicated in the scope of the investigation. There is a possibility that these products have been distributed through the Food Depository's Food Rescue program. Please check your inventory for this product. Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. meat and poultry products
May 11, 2016 - Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc is recalling approximately 47,112,256 pounds of not-ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes. The heat-treated, not fully cooked, not shelf stable meat and poultry items were produced on various dates between May 1, 2014 and May 1, 2016. Due to the scope of the recall, it is possible that some of these products were distributed via the Food Depository's Food Rescue program. Please check your inventory for this product. CRF Frozen Foods
May 2, 2016 - CRF Frozen Foods is expanding a voluntary recall of frozen organic and traditional fruits and vegetables. This recall is due to possible biological contamination. Health risks have been identified due to Listeria Monocytogenes infections that may have been linked to their product. Due to scope of the recall and retail availability, there is a possibility these products were distributed via the Food Depository's Food Rescue program. Please check your inventory for this product. Pilgrim's Pride poultry products
April 27, 2016 - Pilgrim's Pride Corp. is recalling approximately 4,568,080 pounds of fully cooked chicken products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, including plastic, wood, rubber and metal. The recall now includes a variety of chicken products that were produced on various dates between Aug. 21, 2014 to March 1, 2016. It is possible this product was distributed via the Food Depository's Food Rescue program. Please check your inventory for this product. Bumble Bee Foods and Tri-Union Seafoods canned chunk light tuna
March 18, 2016 - Bumble Bee Foods LLC and Tri-Union Seafoods LLC are voluntarily recalling canned chunk light tuna. The recall is because of equipment failure during processing, which could result in biological contamination. Bumble Bee is recalling three specific UPC codes of tuna, for a total of 31,579 cases. The following UPC codes are subject to the recall: 8660000020, 8660000021 and 8660000736.
Tri-Union Seafoods is recalling 2,745 cases of Chicken of the Sea brand 5 oz. chunk light tuna in oil and 5 oz. canned chunk light tuna in water. It is possible that the Food Depository has these products in its salvage inventory. Due to the product being sold nationally, it is also possible it was distributed via the Food Rescue program.
