La Guadalupana Wholesale, Inc. Chicken Tamales

Jan. 28, 2015 - Last week, La Guadalupana Wholesale, Inc., of Chicago, Illinois, recalled 8,856 pounds of chicken tamalaes because they were not produced in an approved Ready-To-Eat environment. On Jan. 28, the recall was expanded to product the Food Depository received from Chicago Premier Meat. The cases of tamales were distributed through the Agency Mart on Dec. 9 and Dec. 16. The Food Depository is immediately contacting agencies that received the product on the above dates. As a precaution, the Food Depository is also contacting those agencies that received the product on Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 so that they can inform their clients to discard any remaining product. Gonnella Brand Sub Buns and Jewel Brand Gourmet Sandwich Rolls

Jan. 21, 2015 - Gonnella Baking Company of Schaumburg, Illinois, is voluntarily recalling 20 oz. packages of Jewel brand Gourmet Sandwich Rolls (Product Code 11563) and 20 oz. packages of Gonnella brand Sub Buns (Product Code 15840) due to undeclared milk. The products are a food safety concern only for people who are allergic to milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The Food Depository does not have these products in its inventory, but there is a possibility some could have been distributed through Food Rescue programs. Market Pantry Honey & Oat Mixers Ready to Eat Cereal

Jan. 16, 2015 - Glister-Mary Lee of Chester, Illinois, is voluntarily recalling one lot of Market Pantry Honey & Oat Mixers Ready to Eat cereal because it may contain undeclared almonds. People who have an allergy or sensitivity to almonds run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The Food Depository does not have these products in its inventory, but there is a possibility some could have been distributed through Food Rescue and/or salvage programs. Ortega and Las Palmas Taco Seasoning and Sauces

Nov. 17, 2014 - B&G Foods has issued a recall for Ortega Taco Seasoning Mix, Ortega Taco Sauce, Ortega Enchilada Sauce, Ortega Taco Kits, Las Palmas Taco Seasoning Mix and Las Palmas Taco Sauce. One or more of the ingredients contain peanuts and almonds, allergens that are not declared on the product ingredient statements. These ingredients pose a risk to people with an allergy or sensitivity to peanuts and almonds. The Food Depository does not have this product in its inventory, but there is a possibility some could have been distributed through Food Rescue and/or salvage programs.
