2012 Goal: Every Building Collects Just 6 Barrels
|
BOMA/Chicago has once again teamed up with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to host a food drive that will help feed hungry men, women and children in Cook County.
Drive Dates - November 19th to December 14th Starting Monday, Nov. 19, and running through Friday, Dec. 14, participating BOMA/Chicago buildings will be supporting in the Food Depository's One City, One Food Drive campaign by accepting non-perishable food donations in their buildings. If you would like to participate in this year's holiday food drive, please register below to request supplies and resources. Registration cutoff date is Oct. 31.
Supply Drop Off Dates: November 10th or 17th This year the Food Depository will be offering two supply drop off dates, Saturday Nov. 10 and Saturday Nov. 17. In order to better help each building reach our goal of Every Building Collects Just 6 Barrels, we are offering additional collection supplies. Please be sure to check out our 2012 Collection Tools.
BOMA/Chicago 2012 Goal - 150,000 Pounds Over the past four years the BOMA/Chicago holiday food drive has grown from 28 participating buildings in 2008, to 113 buildings in 2011. In that time the drive has raised a total of 71,714 pounds of food, providing more than 53,920 meals to hungry Chicagoans. This year we have challenged BOMA/Chicago to help us raise 150,000 pounds of food. We are confident we can do it if Every Building Collects Just 6 Barrels! We will be providing additional resources and creative ideas to help you reach this goal. Please register before Oct. 31 so we have enough time to mail the new resources.
