Greater Chicago Food Depository

The Food Depository inspects, sorts and repacks food for distribution to member agencies throught Cook County. The Food Depository distributed 66 million pounds of food last year.

Member agencies

The Food Depository has a network of 650 food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters that serve and distribute food to people in need. They provide 135,000 meals to men, women and children every day in Chicagoland.

People in need

A diverse group of people are ulimately helped by the Food Depository's services: older adults, children, the working ppor, single-parent families and the newly unemployed.
